This is Gizmo. Gizmo is Ryan’s sister Lacey’s cat and he is about 4 months old.

Gizmo is…kind of abusive in a loving sort of way. This tiny kitty can do some serious damage. Hopefully soon he will have his devil claws removed and then I think he will be a much more loving cat…or perhaps he will just seem that way because he can’t physically hurt anyone anymore.

He is the most spunky kitty I have ever seen. I grew up with dogs and any cat I was ever around was just lazy and angry. They didn’t love, didn’t play and always gave me dirty looks. I had one cat during my childhood and it urinated all over our house. Awesome.

Gizmo would be the exception. Even though he seems to always want to claw your flesh off your body the second he sees you, I am oddly drawn to him and I think he has converted me to being ok with owning a cat one day. He really is just being playful and thats what was always missing in all the cats I had ever known. He has a personality and I love it.

Playing with a laser pointer is probably the greatest thing in Gizmo’s life. When he hears the jingle of the keychain on it he knows whats coming. I find it funny that he obviously knows what it is yet constantly seems to wonder why he can’t actually catch the light… but whatever, its fun to watch him try.

We are really starting to love shooting video with the 5D and can’t wait to do more. I LOVE using our new 14mm for video, its crazy!

If you want a portrait session with your beloved pet, please let us know! We would love to do some video along with a regular portrait shoot for that since animals do some crazy stuff that someone photos just can’t capture the same way.
