Duma – 8 months old

Ryan and I were watching So You Think You Can Dance tonight and I think he couldn’t take it anymore so he started taking photos of Duma. He is so great at taking photos it’s just really a joy to watch him. I LOVED editing these and I’m really happy to have new photos of her that are not taken with our iPhones. I can’t wait to get some of these printed and framed for the house!

This first photo literally made me squeal with joy when he showed it to me on the back of the camera. When she was a kitten he took a photo like this but couldn’t get one in focus since she moves to fast so when he got this I was just thrilled. I LOVE it. Her sweet little eye and giant whiskers… oh my word, I just die! It captures her personality so well since she is always so curious of everything. :)

Being a dog person, what I missed most about having a cat was that they don’t have the emotions that dogs have. I always thought it was so cute how you could just tell what they are thinking by looking into their eyes. Well, I discovered that cats (at least Duma) show emotions in their ears! This little set of photos is such a good example of her earmotions! haha get it…ear-motions :)

1. Normal, 2. whats happening?
3. Normal, 2. Alter! I’m in trouble!

Duma LOVES straws. She steals them out of our cups all the time. We caught her in action! Look at the look of guilt on her face (and ears) in the first photo! For shame!
Gosh she looks so mature in this photo. It makes me sad that she is heading out of her kitten days. She is still pretty small though, under 5 pounds.

Cathy Potter - Holly, I just came across this email you sent with the updated pictures. She is so cute. I just love the pictures you take. What a great way to honor one of my babies. You two are the best parents ever!
