Eli: 18 months old – Fathers Day Photos!

So by now, if you frequent our blog, you should know about my friend Nicole. So I’m not going to explain who she is anymore since there will be more posts about her family in the future for sure. Well, she called me up last week to see if I wanted to go with to take some photos of Eli and of course, I was on board. When she came to pick me up she filled me in on her plan for a fathers day gift for Andy.

Andy is a big tigers fan so naturally, his son shall be as well. :) I LOVE these first two shots. The joy of the game and the frustration of the game (if they were losing of course) haha. It just happened to work out perfectly that he would make these faces while sitting in blue stadium seating at the park we were at. I’m learning quite quickly that taking photos of children is completely random. It’s hard to make a plan at this age so it’s just more about shooting a lot and following them around. I kinda like it, it’s different and laid back.

I would also like to note that at the time of this shoot Nicole was OVER 9 months pregnant. Her due date was the week before this and no Ella. I’ve just never met anyone so laid back while pregnant. She should inspire everyone!

And OF COURSE he couldn’t do this when he was in his Tigers stuff! Regardless, it’s sooo cute! The way he is standing and his super serious face! Priceless!

Now onto all the general cuteness. :)

This is the first session I have actually ever done without Ryan. It’s weird but also cool to know I can shoot independently and still get adorable photos. :)  It’s so easy to lean on him but I’ve been thinking about doing portrait sessions by myself at a reduced rate as another option. Thoughts on that? Would anyone be interested in such a thing?

Kristy Jo - Amazing work! Your textures you use are awesome. Would you recommend any of your fav’s. I love textures and just love how yours pop.

Smiles :)
