The Cast and Crew [band]

After a long season of portrait and wedding work we have both been feeling pretty creatively drained. There’s only so many new things you can do with those to keep it new and interesting unless of course your subjects are super interesting!

Being so ADD and procrastinating from my backlogs of work I was checking out some more commercial/music related work from these guys who I draw a lot of inspiration from as you should be able to tell. Dave Hill, Rian Flynn, Jeremy Cowart, Even Hunt… ect…

So when my old friend Collin asked me about doing a band shoot with them to promote their new EP “I am the game” I was pretty excited to do some really cool and creative stuff. It’s a whole new world compared to what a portrait session is.

After a 9 hour shoot I finally felt good about what we got!

Last night Holly and I went to their CD release party to check them out and to shoot their live show. They are a great band and really impress even being a local band. They even went down to Nashville to record and mix their EP so you know they aren’t messing around! Here’s some of the show.

So there you have it! Our first band shoot! It’s a lot of work but a lot of fun! I really hope to do this in the future a little more and get even better results.

Check out the cast and crew on their myspace you wont be disappointed!
