The Kruithof’s // Family Newborn

Remember Katie & Brent from their last session I did with them in Grand Cayman? If not, here is a reminder. :)
Not too long after they returned home from their 2 year stay in Grand Cayman, they got pregnant with little Gio. I was not able to make it down to Cincinnati to do maternity photos, but I made sure I was able to get their for their family newborn session.

I just adore this little family so much. They were pretty much exactly how I thought they would be as new parents. They are both just so laid back and happy. Having a newborn certainly comes with stress but I didn’t notice any of it with them. I am so happy with how this session turned out and honored to have been able to create these images for them. Even walter got in on some photos. We certainly couldn’t leave the first child out of the family pictures.

Brent and Katie are just such a great example of what joy looks like. I probably said this in my last post about them, but If I could say only one thing about them it would be that they are both such happy people. I’m sure Gio will end up being just like them and another happy person is exactly what the world needs. :)

All the men of the house together. This is easily one of my all time favorites.
I like to photograph newborns on furniture that the family will most likely have for a long time, just hoping that parents will notice their kid sitting on that same chair much later in life and be like “We have a photo of you as a 1 week old baby in that chair, you were so tiny!”. I think that would be a fun moment to have. :)
Their home is BEAUTIFUL. All the rooms have such lovely natural light and the house has so much character since it’s an old home.
Can’t miss out on all the little details!
This is another of my all time favorites.
Black and white feels like the best when it comes to snuggly pictures for some reason.
Last but not least, Gio’s super lovely nursery. Katie wanted to do something that would work for boy a boy or a girl since she didn’t want to redecorate if their next child was a girl. I think that’s a really great idea! His room is just so peaceful and calm, I love it.
I know this post was so long, but I just adore these images so much and wanted to share them with everyone. It was a joy to shoot you guys and I can’t wait to see the happy little kid Gio turns out to be!
